LFJ was formed by entrepreneur and investor Jason Redlus. Mr. Redlus was the Founder of Argyle Executive Forum, one of the nation’s fastest growing marketing services companies. In 2015, Argyle Executive Forum was acquired by The Wicks Group of Companies, a leading private equity firm. Prior to forming Argyle, Jason launched the private-equity business unit for Capital IQ, a leading financial information services company. Capital IQ was acquired by Standard & Poor’s. Mr. Redlus holds a Bachelor of Science from Cornell and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

John Freund

John Freund is the Managing Editor of Legal Funding Journal, where he oversees the publication's reporting, and produces The LFJ Podcast and LF Newsletter. John has been with Legal Funding Journal since the company's inception in 2017. John Freund holds a BA in Creative Writing from the University of Pennsylvania, and an MBA from USC’s Marshall School of Business. John has written and published two nonfiction books, dozens of articles, and one purchased yet unproduced screenplay about the Spanish Inquisition. After several years working for private equity firm Balfour Investors, John left to pursue his passion for writing about business and finance. Jessica Derr

Jessica is in charge of new business development and membership management at Legal Funding Journal. She is responsible for finding new thought leaders and individuals that are engaged in the sector to join Legal Funding Journal’s membership. She also works to engage and provide value for current members through participation in thought leadership opportunities such as interviews, podcasts and articles. Jessica has been with Legal Funding Journal since 2019. Jessica holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Merchandising, and has been in the sales and marketing space since 2014 working in various roles including advertising sales, client marketing, blogging, and sales management.
